Satu Heng
Vet, owner
Satu is one of Soma’s vets and owners. She qualified as a veterinarian in 2010 and has since worked broadly in small-animal practice. For the past seven years her work has focused especially on emergency care.
Satu’s special interests are acute care and the management of hospitalised patients, but all pets are warmly welcome to her consults, whatever the issue. She is also trained in veterinary acupuncture.
Building and nurturing long-term client relationships is important to Satu – this has been one of the cornerstones behind founding Soma. Every pet is unique and important to their owner, and it is an honour for us to be there through the different stages of their life.

Sonja Flinck
Vet, owner
Sonja works at Soma as a vet and is the clinic’s other owner. She qualified as a veterinarian in 2011 and has since gained diverse experience in various veterinary roles.
Early in her career, Sonja worked in municipal practice with both small and large animals, but over the last ten years her work has focused on small-animal care at clinics and animal hospitals around Finland.
Sonja’s special interests are the care of emergency and hospital patients, and she has also specialised in small-animal dental diseases.

Outi Pirnes
Veterinary nurse
Outi works at Soma as a veterinary nurse. She qualified in 2021 and has since gained experience in emergency animal hospitals both as a nurse and as a ward manager in intensive and emergency care.
Outi is also a qualified registered nurse (1996), with a human healthcare career especially focused on cardiac patients. This combination gives Outi a broad perspective on caring for both animals and people.
It is important to Outi that every pet receives individual, species-appropriate care. She also meets pet owners with genuine warmth.
